How often do I get new hardware?
- Engineers (department codes 3xx) have their laptops refreshed every 2 years.
- All other employees have their laptops refreshed every 3 years.
- Monitors do not have a refresh cycle. They will be replaced upon failure.

II. Engineering hardware standards
These standards are for employees who roll up to the departments in this Google Sheet only. The default for engineers is the 15". We are happy to swap this for a 13" model with upgraded specs upon request. Please send a ticket to it@gmail.com if that is your wish!

III. Privacy Screens
- Due to constantly changing hardware standards and difficulty sourcing privacy filters, IT will no longer be providing them.
IV. Remote Employees Hardware
- An Apple laptop will be provided by IT
- For all other hardware such as a monitor and peripherals, they can be shipped to the employee's residence and all items will be back billed to the employee's department. To request hardware email it@gmail.com.com and CC your manager for approval.
V. Notes
Non-standard hardware requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis and will require approval from both the Director of IT and the requester's manager. The cost will likely be back-charged to the requester's department.
